Beware they do not provide free telephone support. After having executed a transaction, they took away airmiles but never sent the gift certificates in return. Two etickets were opened to try to resolve the issue. The automated system verified that they got through, however no human has replied to either of them. The only successful means of contact I've had with anyone from the Points company was through american airlines who offered to forward my messages through their partner channels. It has been a good three months and they still haven't closed my two open tickets. I suggest avoiding Points.com because there is really zero customer support.

If you have trouble dealing with a company, your best bet may be for you to contact the Better Business Bureau. Post your company complaints on boards like this one to help educate other consumers. You may also want to report bad companies that have deceptive practices to the FTC. Obviously if you find a company is doing a good job, then the best way for you to help the company is the spread the word!

Research companies yourself before doing business with them. It can save you much time, money, and most importantly leave you with a positive customer experience.
