It is 3.1MP which is fine for printing photos and web work. In daylight the colors are vibrant and true. Unfortunately it does not work well in the dark. Dark photos end up being grainy and usually blurry. There is no control over the ISO mode, so unless it is very bright, the camera will continuously switch between long or fast exposures. I found that slightly darker photos always tend to be out of focus. Recently I learned that this was because the coolpix does not focus well even when the camera is perfectly still. With only 2 AA bateries, I find it just a little bit too slow especially with flash, although it may be be because I keep it at the max resolution setting. Since most of my pictures are taken during the day outside, I am happy with the camera in general.

If you have trouble dealing with a company, your best bet may be for you to contact the Better Business Bureau. Post your company complaints on boards like this one to help educate other consumers. You may also want to report bad companies that have deceptive practices to the FTC. Obviously if you find a company is doing a good job, then the best way for you to help the company is the spread the word!

Research companies yourself before doing business with them. It can save you much time, money, and most importantly leave you with a positive customer experience.
